DREW MIDDLE FIELD HOCKEY 2009

Drew's field hockey tryouts will be held from Wednesday, September 9th until Friday, September 11th.  All students need to have a VHSL physical form dated after May 1, 2009 on file in order to be able to participate.  If you are interested in trying out, please make sure you have a t-shirt and shorts, (no tank-tops, or short-shorts, please) shin guards, mouth guard and a field hockey stick (we have a few that you can borrow) at school for the tryout period.  Water is needed throughout practice, so please bring a large bottle.   We will have water available for filliing and refilling.

The try-out will consist of running long distance, sprinting, agility, learning basic field hockey skills, game strategy, coach-ability, commitment and good academic standing.  I am looking for girls who are willing to persevere, set a positive student example for the school, and who are willing to learn how to play.  As a student-athlete, you must represent yourself and your school with dignity and integrity.

Practice will be from 3-5pm Monday thru Friday and our first scrimmage will be September 21st and games will begin on September 25th.  Rides are expected to be at school by 5pm.

Any questions, please call Coach Faller or Coach Godsey at 371-1415.  We look forward to an awesome year!
