District Announcements
School Starts Tuesday, Sept. 2
School starts this Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014.  The start time for high school students is 7:40 a.m., middle school students begin at 8:20 a.m. and the elementary start time is 9 a.m.
Please check our website at to confirm your student’s bus route.  Some adjustments to the routes may have been made over the summer.  We encourage families to have students who will be riding our buses to have them ride the bus on the first day.  This allows our bus drivers to become familiar with the students and which stop your child will use.  It also allows the students to become familiar with the process of riding the bus.  Also, as we take every precaution to ensure all students are placed on the correct bus to go home during afternoon dismissal, the bus arrival times at home will be later for the first few weeks.  Please allow 45 minutes in the afternoon before calling the school or pupil transportation regarding a late bus.
Should you have a student driving to high school, please remind them to allow extra time to arrive at school before 7:40.  New drivers will not have had experience with the heavy traffic and traffic controls at our high schools.
Drivers using Enon Road in Stafford County between 6 and 8 a.m. should expect extended delays as a result of the student traffic and the construction traffic entering and leaving Stafford High School.  The student traffic will be given priority by traffic control.
Please enjoy the holiday weekend and we look forward to seeing you in school on Tuesday.
