  Donations Needed  
   
On Friday, June 10th we will hold our annual SOL Incentive Day for all students. This is a day that is held each year to reward students for their hard work and efforts on the SOL tests. During the day different activities are planned for each grade level to participate in during their elective class periods. We are asking for donations from parents to make the day a successful event. Please see the sign up below for more information on items that are needed. We are asking for all donations to be sent in to the front office by Friday, June 3rd. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for everything you do for our students and school! District Announcements
Records Destruction Notification

Stafford County Public Schools will be destroying short-term retention documentation from official student records of students who graduated or left Stafford County Public Schools in 2010-2011 or prior years (if not previously shredded).  Documents (including special services, special education files, health files) may be removed and shredded.  If you would like copies of these records from your child’s file, please call the school from which your child left by June 15, 2016.   If we do not hear from you by this date the records will be destroyed. **Long-Term Documents will be retained as required by the Library of Virginia.

2016 SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM INFORMATION

During the summer of 2016, Stafford County Public Schools will offer academic classes for new and repeat credit, and driver’s education (both classroom and Behind the Wheel). Information about the SOL remediation/test review for students, who pass a class but fail the SOL test, is also included. Please use the links below for program information.

EXTENDED OPEN REGISTRATION:  Thursday, June 16,  to Wednesday, June 22, at each high school.  Students will have one final opportunity to submit the Driver’s Education Behind-the-Wheel tuition ($225) at Brooke Point High School on Thursday, June 16, 8:00 am -11:00 am., if space is still available.

Note:  Pre-registered students will receive priority in class placement.  Enrollment on June 16-22 is on a space available basis.  Stafford County students will be placed before students from other school divisions.  Students from other school divisions must register on June 16, 8:00 am – 11:00 am, at Brooke Point High School.
2016 Summer Arts Camps

Arts Summer Camps are open to students whose families are residents of Stafford County.  Students will explore topics in visual art, drama, and music through hands-on experiences. Camps are designed to be fun and educational; they are taught by licensed teachers from Stafford County Public Schools. Grade level for participants is grade level in September 2016. Dates, hours and tuition vary for each camp. Parents must provide transportation to and from the camp site at the stated times. Extended day services are NOT available and all children must be picked up on time at the conclusion of camp. Please indicate first, second or third choices, (per week) if desired. Payment must accompany registration; students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Camps may be canceled due to low registration. Camp registration and payment must be received by June 27.  Please use the link below for complete details and registration.

Did you know……

Drew Middle School's first year of operation was in 1975. Prior to the school being a middle school, it was the original Stafford High School. Drew was named after Mr. Edward E. Drew, Jr. – have you ever wanted to know more about him?
